Fun and Sun at Lagoon
Today we spent the whole day at Sunway Lagoon. Yes, we as in Joel, Hawk, my bro, Danny and me. The day began with Danny and Hawk not wanting to get up from bed since it was too early in the morning. We had set the alarm to 8:15 cos my bro said he would come by at 8:30 am where as Joel was to pick us up an hour later. Yet come 8:30, my bro was no where to be seen. I had missed his sms which stated he had a headache and didnt feel like going. I made him come along cos I was sure his headache would disappear once he had some fun.

So, we arrived there a few minutes after opening time ( which was 10 am btw) and headed out to try some rides at the Dry Park. We didnt want to get wet before having lunch, but somehow things didnt go as planned. ^^ We took a ride on the Buffalo Bill coaster, which was not as fun as I remembered, but the best thing was Danny rode on a COASTER! Then we went on for a ride on the River Rapids. We laughed when Joel and Hawk got soaked, but it seemed that they will have the last laugh.

We even took a ride on The Gallion, which was the ship shaped ride which swings like a pendulum. It was fun~ Joel calls it the ball rushing ride cos apparently that's what it does...haha~ You feel as if you're flying off the seat of your pants! We even rode on another coaster which was called The Lost City of Gold. I think it actually replaced the previous coaster which claimed a life... accidentally though. Old story. I felt happy cos Danny was willing to come on the coaster with me. I guess he doesnt mind the mild rides. Dont think he'll be riding the Corkscrew at Genting anytime soon though. To dry off after all the "wet" rides, we sat in this boot shaped ride ( I fergot the name) and boy, did I feel giddy after that. The japs who were on the same ride as us requested for another round, so the guy working the controls gave in to their request... which kinda made the ride extra long. Haha... my brother was kinda stonned the whole way through. -.-"

Then we visited the world's largest lime stone collection... Scholar's something... I cant remember. They had various lime stones in what used to be the place with the arcade ( and the big T-Rex). Somewhere along the line we wanted to try out the Tomahawk... but we chickened out in the end. :P

After all the dry park rides, we headed out to Pyramid for lunch. We had 1901 cos Danny felt like having hotdogs for lunch. It was kinda a big meal, but we needed energy to get us going if we wanted to have fun at the water park. As we were getting ready for the water park, Joel got called away by his gf. She made a surprise visit and he was practically MIA for almost 2 hours. During that time, the four of us went to the surf pool and the wave pool for some fun. We didnt rent floats though cos we didnt want to lug the big thing around. When Joel finally came back, we headed off for the slides, which gave us the adrenaline rush we needed.

Overall, I guess we can all agree that we had fun. It's always best to go to places like these with your friends. ^^ Lagoon is doing more renovations so most of the rides have been moved or taken out all together. It also seemed different as when I was younger. They should introduce more rides cos most of the rides tend to get a lil boring after a few rounds. :S So yes... fun fun time. Wished ToOt could've joined us though. Oh well... the next time when they've improved the conditions of the pools and rides.

Freeee...
Danny won free tickets to see Elektra. Wonder if it's any good though. Heard from a few friends that it wasnt really all that great. But anywho... it's still a free movie ticket anyway. ^^

We're going to pick up the tix from Pyramid on Friday right after Danny comes home from golf. Then after that, we're heading off to pick hawkie up to go over to ToOt's place for a dip in her pool. ^^ Well.. not HER pool... but the pool in her erm... residential area. ^^ Then we're going to have dinner at the clubhouse too. ToOt's treating us to a Japanese dinner...lol. Hawk's looking forward to free food.

ToOt's not able to join us at Lagoon, though we really hoped she could come along. But when her dad says no, I guess he meant it. :( Tough luck... maybe next time. I wonder how many of us are gonna be going. If there arent many of us, I might think of cancelling. Cos it's no fun when there are so lil of you. :( Oh well... we shall see... ^^

I got it!
Finally, my poncho has arrived! ^^ I did have 2nd thoughts on buying it, but since Ive already asked for them to bring in another, I didnt have the heart to tell em Im not taking it in anymore. The poncho I got is a cream colored one. I did think of pink, but I didnt know if it would go with any of my other clothings. Apparently it's also a 4 in 1 poncho. Ive yet to figure out the last use for it, but I can use it as a poncho, a shawl-like scarf and a top. ^^

Feeling kinda happy with it, though it's prolly gonna be a bitch trying to keep it clean. Haha... ^^ Im not exactly one of the neatest or the cleanest person on this earth. -.-" Every WHITE item I get turns dark. :P Sho yesh... will try to keep this as clean as possible. ^^

I got a dye job
courtesy of my babee who helped me with it. I didnt want to go to the saloon cos I had to make an appointment. -.-" So I got Danny to do it for me. The color that is now on my head is Loreal's Feria Color Booster thingy, Flash Golden Brown. Some of you may know that when I dye my hair, I complain that the colors may not be so noticable. This isnt the case here. Since it's got the color booster, my hair is now REALLY brown. In another day or two, you would prolly mistaken me for one of those "ah lians" on the street. -.-" But over all, I guess it's okay since I was testing a new product out anyway. :)

I also got a pair of sunnies from the pasar malam yesterday. It's prolly not original nor is it branded ( though they tag names like gucci on it) but still, it's cheap compared to the ACTUAL branded goods. Not everything branded is good stuff. ^^

Weekend fun
I finally followed Danny and his parents to the golf course at Selesa. It's on the way to Genting ( or at least that's what the road signs tell me) and it has that nice relaxing, cool and calm feeling... except when you hear cars speeding on the highway down below.

Today is also my first time riding on a " Turf Mate" which is a modified erm... lawn mower. Haha... well, not exactly. For those non golf enthusiasts like me, it actually resembles a buggy ( those car thingies they use on the bigger golf courses) but the only this different about it is, buggies seats 2 people where as the turf mate only allows one person to stand on it... plus the golf bags of course. So yes, it was pretty fun. Think Danny may have lost weight due to all that walking while I "hijacked" the turf mate. ^^I hardly even noticed that time flies so quickly. We actually left the house at 7 am this morning and had breakkie at the mamak nearby. Then off we went and I assumed we teed off at approximately 8 am. The game was about 4 hours long and we were done by 1 pm.

The weather up there was really cooling, kinda like Genting, but not as cold. By 12 pm, the sun was out and burning my skin even though I had sun block on. I must remember to wear something that covers up every inch of my body if I were ever to go again. Now I have an unevened tan. -.-" I prolly need to buy a pair of slacks/cargo pants cos I just realised that I had none. Sad aint it? In my whole wardrobe, there isnt a collared T-shirt or cargo pants in sight. I had to borrow Danny's shorts cos I didnt have a pair suitable for the club. Luckily it fits with a lil help from the belt. Haha. ^^

After golfing, we had lunch and travelled back to KL. Even though I did nothing else but drive the turf mate, I was tired. I had a hard time sleeping the night before. Once we came home, I showered and took a nap which lasted about 3 hours. We then had an early dinner cos Danny booked us tickets to watch " Meet the Fockers" at TGV, One Utama. The movie was okay, though they had some technical difficulties at the beginning. That kinda delayed the movie for about 10 minutes or so. The seriously should check all their equipments to see if they're working fine before screenings.

So now we're back home after the movie, feeling tired and sleepy after a long day. Im still deciding if I should join them again this coming Sunday. But it depends where they're playing. Oh well, if I dont join them I can get more sleep. ^^ Im sleep deprived.

Somehow I never got to blogging about New Years Day. Hawky, Danny and I watched Kung Fu Hustle at TGV Sunway Pyramid. It's starring Stephen Chow and it was a lil weird... yet, so his style. When I watched it, it was a whole mixture of action, comedy and prolly drama. After the show I went on a shopping spree. I FINALLY bought a long sleeved shirt which fitted me like a glove. Plus, I even got myself a new pair of black slacks so I wont have to wear skirts to anymore presentation. Skirts are sometimes uncomfortable. -.-" I am now on the hunt for a new pair of shoes. I want something different from the current pair. Must consult my shoe guru... Jingy. Haha... JINGY, I WANT A PAIR OF POINTY SHOES!

Oh, Giordano just came out with its new season. GAWD! I wanted this scarf like poncho so badly! But it costed a lot and well, like all things Giordano... it's a lil common. Take my sweater/cardigan for example : You see it EVERYWHERE! So it kinda got me thinking on whether I should have bought the poncho. Finally I made my decision to buy it to only discover that it was ALL SOLD OUT! *shock* I want it cos at least it'll be a change from my sweater and shawl. But yet, I have to see if it'll look good on me. I wont buy something that doesnt suit me. So yes, next on my list would be a pair of shoes and that poncho. ^^ I've only got a pair of heels, mind you. :P
